Dieser Artikel soll den Weg beschreiben, der zwei sehr coole Dinge zusammenbringt:
Die Fritz!Box und die Programmiersprache Python.

- Wann immer von /filebase/fbox/area51/OUT/ die Rede ist, ist das Verzeichnis gemeint, in das die kompilierten Elemente installiert wurden/werden.
- Die Kompilierung von Python ist insofern etwas ungewöhnlich, als daß Python selbst zum Kompilieren benutzt wird. Deshalb ist es notwendig, zwei Python-Programme zu kompilieren: Für den cross-compilierenden Rechner und für die Fritz!Box. Ersteres wird dann verwendet, um letzteres zu kompilieren. Klingt kompliziert, ist aber nicht weiter tragisch, weil der angehängte Patch sich um diese Besonderheit kümmert. Näheres dazu bei den oben genannten Links.

Spaßeshalber kann man in der setup.py noch Module deaktivieren, die sowieso nicht kompiliert werden können
- ssl, es sei denn openssl ist installiert
- nis, wird nicht vermutlich auf den wenigsten fritz!boxen benötigt (Network_Information_Service)

Das waren noch nicht alle Tests, aber wie man sieht hat die Fritz!Box ob der Last aufgegeben und neu gestartet ;) (Python funktioniert aber trotzdem).
